Donna Vickers Morphogenic Field TestingHello! My name is Donna Vickers, and I am a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP). My husband, Dr. Joel Vickers, and welcome you to our office, Vickers AK Chiropractic, located at 12930 James Street in Holland, Michigan.

I started working with Dr.  Vickers, in his Chiropractic office in 2006. I didn’t know it then, but I was starting a new journey towards the world of nutritional therapy. Over the years, I have attended many chiropractic and nutrition seminars learning different techniques to determine nutritional deficiencies and imbalances throughout the body. My certification as a Nutritional Therapy Practioner was earned at the Nutritional Therapy Association of Minneapolis in 2017.

I am intermediate trained in Nutrition Response Testing (NRT), and I completed advanced trained in Morphogenic Field Technique (MFT).

What really motivated me to seek out a career in nutrition was the following experience my mother had with Dr. Vickers. After my mother’s double bypass surgery at age 63, she was hospitalized three times due to complications. During the third hospitalization, I thought, “this is it, she’s not going to make it out of this” and that’s when my husband (Dr. Vickers) had me bring her from the hospital straight to his office upon release.  I wanted Dr. Vickers to see her early on, but unfortunately, she was never out of the hospital long enough to get her into his office before she was admitted back again.

Eventually, Dr. Vickers saw her for Nutrition Response Testing (NRT) to determine if she needed nutritional support to help with her recovery. I was then able to see Clinical Nutrition at its very finest, as well as witnessing how great Dr. Vickers was at providing Chiropractic and Applied Kinesiology treatments.

He put her on a nutrition program that aided in her healing, and upon her follow-up visit with her physician, he was very pleased with her progress and wanted to know what she was doing. This doctor could not believe how well she was already doing, and I couldn’t either!  My mother never went back into the hospital for her heart and had a speedy recovery, but I can’t help but think how we could have lost her.

This is when I knew becoming a Nutritional Therapist was for me, giving me a chance to do something I love while helping people heal and bring joy back into their lives. Our bodies are amazing, but they cannot work at peak conditions if there are imbalances or nutritional deficiencies. This is where I can help. This is my mission and my calling.
